On 1st May, RCC Milan Chakra Club successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp with the objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and creating awareness about the importance of donating blood. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from members, volunteers, local residents, and well-wishers who came forward to support this noble cause. The event was conducted in collaboration with a recognized blood bank and under the supervision of qualified medical professionals, ensuring that all safety and health protocols were strictly followed. Donors were screened before donation, and proper care was provided throughout the process. The camp received an encouraging response from the community, resulting in the collection of 42 units of blood. Each unit collected has the potential to save multiple lives, making the initiative highly impactful and beneficial for patients in need of blood transfusions. Global Grant Project – RK Mission A Global Grant Project was successfully carried out at Ramakrishna Mission with the objective of strengthening medical facilities for the community. Medical equipment worth USD 32,000 has been donated under this project. The initiative was made possible with the valuable partnership of the Rotary Club of Turtle Creek, District 7305 (USA). This project reflects the spirit of international cooperation in Rotary International, aiming to improve healthcare services and benefit the people served by Ramakrishna Mission. ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF ASANSOL ENERGY FUEL STATIONOn the occasion of the Anniversary Celebration of Asansol Energy Fuel Station, a social welfare program was organized by Rtn. Sandip Samanta, owner of the fuel station and a Rotarian, with active participation from the local community. The program included several meaningful activities: * Health Check-up Camp conducted by doctors from HLG Hospital, where local residents received basic health consultations and check-ups. * Sit & Draw Competition for children, in which around 60 students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity. * An Eye Check-up Camp was also organized to provide vision screening and guidance to attendees. DIGITAL SMART BOARD

Under the District Grant Project for the Rotary Year 2024–25, a Digital Smart Board was donated to Reckit Coleman Government FP School to enhance modern learning facilities for students. The project was initiated during the presidential tenure of Rtn. Abhay Jayant and reflects the club’s commitment to promoting quality education through technology. The project was recently inaugurated by the current President, Rtn. Vikash Kumar Das, in the presence of fellow Rotarian Rtn. Mandeep Singh Lally and other members. The inauguration marked the successful completion of the initiative and the continuation of service efforts across Rotary years. Rtn. Vikash Kumar Das appreciated the vision and leadership of Immediate Past President Rtn. Abhay Jayant for initiating this meaningful project. The installation of the Digital Smart Board is expected to significantly improve the teaching–learning experience and benefit students and teachers alike.

WORLD DISABILITY DAY

The Rotary team visited Asansol Blind School (Asansol Braille Academy) and gifted a tactile image printer worth ₹1.42 lakhs, aimed at enhancing practical learning for visually impaired students. The event was attended by President RTN Vikash Kumar Das, Secretary RTN Priyank, RTN Satvik Lal, RTN Mandeep Singh Lally, and AG Chandan Mukherjee. The school was represented by Principal Abhijit Mondal, along with faculty and students. During the visit, a live demonstration of the tactile image printer was conducted, showcasing its practical applications in education. The students enthusiastically experienced the technology and expressed great happiness and excitement. Adding to the warmth of the occasion, the students themselves performed musical pieces, highlighting their talent and confidence. The initiative marks another meaningful step by Rotary towards inclusive education and empowering students with visual impairments through modern assistive technology.

ANKUR VIDYALAY HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP

Health Check-up Camp Report Venue: Ankur Vidyalay, Loretto Convent, Asansol Date: 6-11-2025 Ankur Vidyalay, a wing of Loretto School that provides free education to children from lower-income groups, hosted a comprehensive health check-up camp conducted by the Rotary Club of Asansol. A total of 60 students benefitted from the initiative. HLG Hospital supported the program by providing doctors and all essential medical equipment. The camp included eye, dental, general health, and gynecology check-ups for both students and their parents. Rotarians present were Rtn. Mandeep Singh Lally, Rtn. Satvik Lal, Rtn. Abhay, Rtn. Jayant, Rtn. Arun Mohanty, Rtn. George Osta, Secretary Rtn. Priyank Janee, Anne Hiral Janee. A special contribution was made by Rtn. Satvik Lal, who sponsored books, stationery, and sweets for the students. POLIO WALK

Polio Walk – 24th October 2025 A joint Polio Walk was organized on 24th October 2025 by all four Rotary Clubs of Asansol — Rotary Club of Asansol, Rotary Club of Greater Asansol, Rotary Club of Green City, and Rotary Club of Royal Bengal — to mark World Polio Day and spread awareness for Rotary’s mission to eradicate polio. From Rotary Club of Asansol, participants included Rtn. Mandeep Singh Lally, Rtn. Arun Mohanty, and President Rtn. Vikash Kumar Das. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of around 20 Rotarians, including all Club Presidents and the Assistant Governor, reflecting the collective commitment of Rotary towards a Polio-Free World.

Each teacher addressed the gathering, sharing their vision for developing education in India. A special mention was made of a teacher from Asansol Blind School, who spoke about the challenges and commitment involved in teaching visually impaired students. Certificates were also given to the teachers and professors of RCA who are members of the club, and their contribution and values were warmly appreciated by the speaker. Vikash Kumar Das ? visited the Blind School to celebrate Independence Day with the students. A lunch was graciously sponsored, bringing smiles and warmth to all present. The students expressed immense happiness, and the Rotarians felt deeply inspired witnessing their spirit. THEY DRY THE SEEDS IN SUN AND THEN HAND OVER THE SAME TO THE ORGANIZATION HOUSE OF GROWNEST . THEY PROCESS AND THEN GROW SAPLINGS OUT OF THEM AND THEN DISTRIBUTE THE SAME WITHIN THE COMMUNITY FOR PLANTATION.
